To me, project management has always been much more than a career – it is, first and foremost, a mindset and an all-round way to get things done. Project management has also been my gateway to the IT sector. Since the start of my career in the tech industry, I have been leading strategic commercial and development projects, worked with project portfolio management, built and executed a project management training program for aspiring project managers. Having set foot in the tech industry a bit more than 3 years ago, I still have a vivid memory about the challenges I have faced when entering it and the lessons I have learned along the way. Reflecting back on my experience, I am certain that the key to a successful start and general personal fulfillment at work is all about building meaningful relationships and having the drive to learn.
