Long and wide experience for a variety of areas and roles. Starting with hands on IT support and system administration around both infrastructure and applications. Have done some project management, group management roles as well as leading departments and companies. Todays role is less technical, more a mix involving people management, business development and commercial aspects. Having tried both the hardcore technology side and the other side with only people allows me to understand that I do like the mix of technology and people. Staying to long in either end will sooner or later have we working towards the other end. When you mix talented people with good technology then often you will see great developments and amazing results.

Martynas Jurgilas
Senior Backend Software developer
Hyarchis
Backend development might not be the most flashy branch of development, but it’s the “invisible hand” that makes everything around us work. I’m pretty well versed in Microsoft .NET ecosystem, but the nice thing about the back-end is that it translates pretty well on all the platforms. So If any of these terms: software architecture, optimizations, APIs, databases, cloud resource management or debugging interests you at least a little bit we will most likely be able to work and learn something together!

Silvija Kalinauskaitė
Project Manager

To me, project management has always been much more than a career – it is, first and foremost, a mindset and an all-round way to get things done. Project management offers universal skills which can be applied in both professional and personal life – problem-solving, communication, psychology, ability to effectively manage time and expectations, deal with uncertainty. Project management has also been my gateway to the IT sector. Since the start of my career in the tech industry, I have been leading strategic commercial and development projects, worked with project portfolio management, built and executed a project management training program for aspiring project managers. Having set foot in the tech industry a bit more than 3 years ago, I still have a vivid memory about the challenges I have faced when entering it and the lessons I have learned along the way. Reflecting back on my experience, I am certain that the key to a successful start and general personal fulfillment at work is all about building meaningful relationships and having the drive to learn. Especially once you start, try to stay open to other people’s advice and guidance, but strive not lose track of your main goal – finding your own individuality and voice as a young professional. If you are looking for someone to help you unlock your potential as a project manager or offer support in your pursuit of entering the tech world – I will do my best to offer a helping hand. I look forward to learning from one another!

Design is everything specific
Nice to meet you, its me, Dima, the Designer.
My mission is to help out company owners and business managers to develop strong brand experience and useful, digital products (which convert) by applying design thinking.
Although my main focus is UX and product design, great things are achieved together with teams. That’s why everything that relates to people facilitation, peer to peer reviews, management, feedback, workshops is deeply important to me.
My love for design starts with User context. The situation in which the user finds themselves in, the needs which emerge because of it, and tasks whichever the user ends up. Don’t get me wrong, aesthetics of the design are quite important (Which I love to stay hands-on). Nevertheless, its predominant to be led by various research methods (collect datа, synthesize findings and insights)

I remember myself being always interested in the computers, even in the primary school I could not pass the classroom where higher grade students were studying the informatics and were already programming in Pascal. I always managed to sneak into the classroom and try the functions from the blackboard. Being a manager with international leadership experience in banking field both in business and IT I’m bridging the technology teams and business stakeholders. So far I have programmed, have been a Business Developer (these days called a Product Owner) and now I’m heading the IT Department in one of the largest Scandinavian banks.

Asta Bagdonavičienė
Head of Reporting and Data Vizualization
Telia
I’ve started my career with Econometrics and Economics studies. I’ve landed into various data analyst/data steward/business analyst positions within banks, consultancy and telecommunications, which required a good combination of understanding the end goal while still being capable to grasp technical level. New jobs have resulted in new domain knowledge and new tools, so learning and self-learning were always crucial. Openness and curiosity are what I call the success criteria. It also leads me to new experiences and, I believe, in the upcoming collaboration with mentees.
I have a coaching certificate from International Coaching Federation (ICF). I have practice with individual coaching on personal topics. Also – professional mentorship within the organization internally. It included various levels – junior-mid-senior specialists and team leaders.

What is Mentoring?
There are many talented people left without professional support, which often results in loss of motivation. Mentors make sure that doesn’t happen!
Mentoring is best described as an educational process when mentors share knowledge with the purpose of surfacing potential in their protégés.
Mentors are not school teachers. They’re voluntary professionals that are motivated to pass on knowledge and contribute to Women Go Tech’s talent pool.
The process is based on guidance. Mentoring only serves as a vehicle towards self-realization.
The beauty of the Women Go Tech Acceleration program is that it’s a two-way learning experience, meaning that both parties will gain invaluable knowledge.
