In my career I have been through various roles, which gave me a good insight into how business works as a whole and let me learn different perspectives. I had the opportunity to work with marketing, data analysis, product management & software development. I’m also interested in general human psychology and what brings out the best in us. I do believe that finding the right motivation for what you do and constant growth are key to having an interesting career and I hope we’ll have a great time learning together.

Backend development might not be the most flashy branch of development, but it’s the “invisible hand” that makes everything around us work. I’m pretty well versed in Microsoft .NET ecosystem, but the nice thing about the back-end is that it translates pretty well on all the platforms. So If any of these terms: software architecture, optimizations, APIs, databases, cloud resource management or debugging interests you at least a little bit we will most likely be able to work and learn something together!

To me, project management has always been much more than a career – it is, first and foremost, a mindset and an all-round way to get things done. Project management offers universal skills which can be applied in both professional and personal life – problem-solving, communication, psychology, ability to effectively manage time and expectations, deal with uncertainty. Project management has also been my gateway to the IT sector. Since the start of my career in the tech industry, I have been leading strategic commercial and development projects, worked with project portfolio management, built and executed a project management training program for aspiring project managers. Having set foot in the tech industry a bit more than 3 years ago, I still have a vivid memory about the challenges I have faced when entering it and the lessons I have learned along the way. Reflecting back on my experience, I am certain that the key to a successful start and general personal fulfillment at work is all about building meaningful relationships and having the drive to learn. Especially once you start, try to stay open to other people’s advice and guidance, but strive not lose track of your main goal – finding your own individuality and voice as a young professional. I have been working as software engineer past three years mainly with Microsoft technologies – .NET, MS SQL and some time spend on front-end technologies – react.js and angular.js. I know how quickly begin doing tasks from zero to hero, how follow specific patterns (MVC, TDD, DDD) and most important how to write clean code. I was studying physics and I know from my experience what it takes to get into IT sector from different field. I could help mentee start career as software engineer, help become more knowledgeable in back-end technologies and have more confidence overall.

Product management is one of those wildcard roles – every organization puts a different meaning to it and sometimes fundamentally different expectations. My love for design starts with User context. The situation in which the user finds themselves in, the needs which emerge because of it, and tasks whichever the user ends up. Don’t make your hobby become your job – you will lose that hobby… Since I can remember, I was always a tech-aspired guy – starting from disassembling & improving electric toys in childhood, then “dirty-hands” car repairs in garages during teenager phase, ending with hardware design and C++ programming for multiple self projects. And many other little areas in between… But by empowering my hobbies as an additional experience and knowledge in my current job, I help myself and team to tackle daily issues by not saying “this is not in my duties”, but by “taking and doing” it instead.

I’m within the IT sector for more than 14 years already. The IT journey I started as a full-stack web developer, got to touch the QA area, later on, switched to PHP backend development. After that, I did not notice how I became Team/Delivery Lead. And now I’m investigating what does it means to be Delivery Manager and be responsible for several team delivery. Nevertheless, I am a very simple person and always happy to help 😉

I always managed to sneak into the classroom and try the functions from the blackboard. I got to lead a Front-End project just having a single year of experience in this field and I believe I could only have achieved that because I, myself, had a great mentor.

6 years of varied experience in the IT sector with different projects such as forestry, pharmacy, financial accounting, required different knowledge (web, app, mobile testing) which allowed me to select and apply best practices into my daily work here at Hyarchis. My responsibilities consist of manual testing, test cases, and automated test writing. Also, daily discussions with the team in making certain decisions are an important part of my job. I am responsible not only for the work done by our team but also for the quality assurance at the whole company level. The tester’s job is not only to ensure that everything will work technically correctly but also to be able to look at it from the final user’s perspective and understand its needs so I usually follow this rule: “In God we trust. The rest we test!”

Few years ago, I decided to steer my career path towards the IT field and I never looked back. I know what challenges people face, what fears or insecurities they have to fight when making this big change in their lives, but I can confidently say that it is a goal worth reaching. In the last few years of work in an IT company, I gained experience in software testing, business analysis, project and product management and this is just a beginning! That’s the most exciting part of the IT world and I am happy to help others to become a part of it.

I got my first taste of programming back in school. Throughout it and my professional career, I have been trying to put myself on the edge by continuously learning, improving my skills, and gaining knowledge of IT. Until now I have been a QA specialist, a front-end developer, a programming teacher and a full-stack engineer. I’m currently working as a Front-End engineer in a startup called Argyle. Given all of that, I am now capable of sharing my experiences and knowledge with women who want to join our ever-changing profession.
