Kostas Mackevičius. Head of QA. Hostinger
Kostas Mackevičius
Head of QA
Hostinger
There was no Quality Assurance team before Kostas joined Hostinger in 2020. Since then he’s assembled and now leads a team of 12 outstanding QA specialists.
“Lithuanian QA specialists are recognized and valued worldwide,” – he says. Kostas has 14 years of international work experience in German, American, Indian, and local Lithuanian companies to base his statement on.
He is not only an A-player in the Quality Assurance field. Kostas has been working as a Basketball Referee for the past 22 years. After work, he puts on his trainers and makes sure all basketball matches are mistake-free too. This way he gets the best of both worlds – a referee whistle and passion for sports on the basketball court and a supportive team, inspiring company culture and principles at Hostinger.

I moved from England to Lithuania to help IT specialists with my writing skills. To be a great UX Writer you’ll want a love of language, strong IT skills and experience (digital marketing and communications technology). It also helps if you have a talent for sales, marketing copy, advertising, online interaction and research.

Andrius Binevičius
Process technology specialist
HELLA
More than 10 years in the production of hardware for electronics. My start in the world of electronics was as an operator at the production line during my studies. This experience helped me to find passion in production. The feeling of giving direct input to the quality and productivity of final goods drives me till today. In a couple of years, I was promoted to technology specialist and a couple of years more as a supervisor. After two years found myself feeling better in the technology, so got back as a specialist, but responsible for different technologies as before. Till now I am increasing my baggage of knowledge by adding some more technologies, higher level of products and different production machines. I have quite much practical knowledge and would be happy to share it with you.

Marija Padvilike
Senior System Analyst
EIS Group Lietuva
Started my career as a quality assurance specialist, I turned it 180 degrees and became a customer support engineer in a telecommunications provider company for 5 years. Then again 180 degrees turn and I am a business analyst with no clue what I am supposed to do. Now with more than 10 years of experience in business analysis and product ownership, I still feel passionate about my job and never regretted that turn I made in my career.
Having experienced both with customers onsite, offsite and internal customers, I feel I can share my experience with others and hopefully help you in your decision making. -

Hanna Matusevich
Quality Assurance Specialist
TeleSoftas
My way to tech started from 3 months of testing courses in 2017, which I attended after a life-changing decision- accounting is not my ‘cup of tea’. Entering the IT sphere changed my career, way of thinking and even country of living. And here I’m in Vilnius- a part of fast-growing, very friendly, willing to help and learn TeleSoftas QA platform.
As a person who made her big step from another sphere to tech, I’m inspired and grateful to have this opportunity of knowledge sharing, because I know for sure- everything is possible! -
Janina Kulikian. Head of Smart Metering. AB „Energijos skirstymo operatorius“ (ESO)
Janina Kulikian
Head of Smart Metering
AB „Energijos skirstymo operatorius“ (ESO)
I was still a business management student when I applied for an entry-level ERP system sales manager job. Although, instantly I found that more engaging for me was not to sell the system but to configure, consult clients and analyze the solutions. Therefore I switched to junior consultant for the ERP system. And this decision, 12 years back, was a real-life changer – from that time I never doubted that Tech is my path. Currently, I work in the energy sector, for the Energijos skirstymo operatorius – the company is responsible for the electricity and gas distribution in Lithuania. For the last 3 years, I am responsible for the smart meter deployment program – which involves both energy solutions and IT solutions.
I joined the Women Go Tech because I know that having by your side someone who can, by sharing experience and knowledge, help make it happen motivates me and encourages to be part of the program. Besides, I believe that I will get a lot of experience from the participants – they are bright and enthusiastic so this will add many colours to my experience. -

Anna Sibirtseva
Senior iOS Developer
Accenture Baltic, Riga
I’m excited to participate in WTG to help more girls to start their career in IT. I remember how hard it was in the beginning, how I was frantically searching google for “how to get your first job in IT”. I could not imagine that in 3 years I would become Senior iOS Developer.
I’m so grateful that I was able to participate in Accenture Bootcamp, that my mentor believed in me, that my manager took a chance and offered me a job. I would not be where I am today if not for amazing people that helped me in the beginning.
Now it’s my turn to help other people to change their lives for the better.

Wojciech Popiel
Product Designer
Vinted
Hey, I’m Wojciech, I’m a product designer, currently working at Vinted. I solve users’ problems by applying design thinking and cross-functional collaboration. I am working with many different aspects of UX design: user research, analysing gathered insights, translating these insights, concept development, workshop facilitation, some UI work, and most importantly cross-functional collaboration. I believe that the best projects are an outcome of team work. In the end, I would never be able to develop the designs, run A/B tests, or analyse all the technical insights alone.

During my studies, I have tried a summer job as a web designer in Epasas.lt Back then I thought that I’ll never be a developer as it was too hard, although UI stuff was easy. Now I am flipping my mindset by 180 degrees with this statement! Currently, I work at MobilePay as a squad lead (lead developer with HR responsibilities). I have decided to join Women Go Tech because I think it’s a good initiative to educate people that IT/Tech is not as hard as it looks – Lithuania needs more talents in tech.

Elena Rumianceva
Front End Developer
IBM
I am a self-taught front-end developer, and I’ve been in front-end development for several years now. However, front-end development was not my first career choice – I have a master’s degree in Economics, and for some time I was pursuing a career in finance when I realised that that is not a path I want to pursue. Then I decided to shift my career from economics to the IT sector, I initially started with software quality assurance testing. Soon after it became obvious to me that I would like to write code for the applications I was writing tests for. So, I looked into the software development paths and took on the front-end development where I currently work.

Director, Product Management Operations
Adform
I’m in my 14th year in Adform, where the biggest part of this journey went into managing Analytics & Insights products, while for the past 2+ years I’m leading Product Managers. This last turn in my path allows me to combine the ever-strong passion for Product Management with the newly discovered love for leading and helping people grow. I will not lie, the Product Management path is hard, and I had a fair share of flops myself. But carving through the fog of millions of options and finding just the right solution to make your customers succeed is the moment when it all pays off. And I’m here to help you learn how to get to those AHA! moments as well as learn a lot from you.

Martynas Kanapinskas. Team Lead & Senior Frontend developer. Hyarchis
Martynas Kanapinskas
Team Lead & Senior Frontend developer
Hyarchis
Uhh… It’s always the hard part talking about yourself
Okay, focus, relax, think and 3…2…1…Hey, Gals! My name is Martynas and I love software development!
I started working as a developer in my freshman year, firstly as a back-end developer, later I’ve gotten a job as a full-stack developer. And even later I’ve transitioned to a front-end developer. And oh jeez – I can tell you that over my career I’ve been through different kinds of stuff, worked with dinosaurs and created unicorns. Currently, I’m working as a Team Lead in Hyarchis and lately I did not write that much code, but I’ve gotten to do all the other fun activities that are also software development – code reviewing, shaping our backlog, defining user stories and helping my team achieve the best we’re capable of.
I might be boring as hell, but in my free time, I’m also developing. I see personal projects as advantageous in at least two ways – they’re super fun to create AND you learn soo much.
What is Mentoring?
There are many talented people left without professional support, which often results in loss of motivation. Mentors make sure that doesn’t happen!
Mentoring is best described as an educational process when mentors share knowledge with the purpose of surfacing potential in their protégés.
Mentors are not school teachers. They’re voluntary professionals that are motivated to pass on knowledge and contribute to Women Go Tech’s talent pool.
The process is based on guidance. Mentoring only serves as a vehicle towards self-realization.
The beauty of the Women Go Tech Acceleration program is that it’s a two-way learning experience, meaning that both parties will gain invaluable knowledge.
