Once I heard a saying that working in IT field can be compared to participating in the Olympics, which I truly believe it’s true. Both athletes and successful developers work hard every day to become better versions of themselves, and what for? To show what they can do, when the time comes. As developers we learn new technologies and try to keep up with ever-evolving IT world. I code almost every day, and it’s the easiest part of my job, not because the issues I am solving are easy, but because I practice a lot.

During my career, I have moved from diplomacy to IT and to my current position – leading a dedicated team drafting cybersecurity strategy, policy documents, and drafts of laws and regulations. My previous experiences as a diplomat helped me a lot in quickly learning to operate in a new environment, get to know new team members, identify, and engage stakeholders both from inside and outside organizations, draw up, communicate, and implement action plans. I believe in being an optimalist – doing your best under given circumstances, accepting reality, and not being afraid to fail.

My IT journey involves many SAP ERP and SuccessFactors implementation projects, lots and lots of airline miles and hotel stays, working in large international IT projects and diverse teams, delivering projects under a tight deadline which is always an interesting thing to talk about.
I am 100% convinced that IT is a form of “controlled” art – it requires flexibility and creative solutions whilst trying to stick to a certain methodology and dry numbers.
Being a consultant to me is an opportunity to combine and excel in my two passions – technology and people.

What is Mentoring?
There are many talented people left without professional support, which often results in loss of motivation. Mentors make sure that doesn’t happen!
Mentoring is best described as an educational process when mentors share knowledge with the purpose of surfacing potential in their protégés.
Mentors are not school teachers. They’re voluntary professionals that are motivated to pass on knowledge and contribute to Women Go Tech’s talent pool.
The process is based on guidance. Mentoring only serves as a vehicle towards self-realization.
The beauty of the Women Go Tech Acceleration program is that it’s a two-way learning experience, meaning that both parties will gain invaluable knowledge.
